FINN WOOD ® is software for design of timber structures such as floor joists, beams and columns for custom loads and model. Finn Wood is developed and owned by Metsä Wood, Finland.
Finnwood 2.3 is a stand alone calculation software, provided free of charge by Metsä Wood UK Ltd, for the structural calculation of floor joists and roof beams made of Kerto® LVL, Finnjoists or Metsä Wood glulam (GL32c). Finnwood allows you to freely choose the geometry of the beam system including spans, support widths, and slope as well as the loading. After the geometry and loads are put in, the software calculates the optimal joist size and prints out full structural calculations. Finnwood designs according to BSEN1995-1-1 also known as Eurocode 5, and its British National Annex.
Finn Wood 2.3 has the following advantages:
